Not at all comfortable. Very stiff

Cascadias have been my go-to trail hiking shoes for many years. Pros for the 18: Better cushioning; fairly wide toe box; great traction and stability; and the outer fabric, toe cap, and rand appear to be durable. Cons: Tongue is thin and a little short (if you use the upper lace-holes to get a snugger fit, you might feel lace pressure through the tongue if you’re wearing thin socks); and although the toe box is wide enough, it could be a little taller to accommodate hiking socks or custom insoles. The multi-colored outsole is kind of fun, but makes it harder to see if you’ve stepped on something you’d rather not track into your vehicle or abode.

Love my glycerins for the road so I thought I’d try a Brooks trail shoe. Very happy with the fit and feel. They are more comfortable than saucony peregrines and not too narrow like salomons.

Nice looking, but didn’t fit like the pair of Brooks Adrenaline gts 22’s that are on my feet now. I found the Cascadia 18’s to be unusually short in length & very stiff. I’m returning these.

the length of the shoe fit perfectly – the width wasn’t wide enough, as soon as I put the shoe on my foot hurt

I purchased the wide width Cascadia 18. I don’t always need a wide width, kind of on the border depending on the brand of shoe. This shoe is lightweight, the grip on the sole is great for light trail hiking (haven’t tried on more intense trails yet). Breathable and comfortable. I do wish the wide width came in more colors – I’d buy another pair!

Fit very similar to my Ghosts. Opted to return for a Gore Tex option but did like these and they fit well.
