I love that these are absolutely waterproof. Ive run through puddles of water as well as in the rain. The shoes are wet, but my feet are dry. Also, as with every pair of Brooks Ive owned, they are so comfortable!

As a regular distance runner for more than a decade, it’s hard to believe this was my first trail-specific shoe! I was super excited to give them a try, because my regular street running shoes don’t seem to give me the support I need when I’m on dirt/gravel.
What I loved: the GTX was surprisingly light! I anticipated a heavier shoe for the trail, but the weight of the shoe felt totally normal. It was also visually much sleeker than some of the other trail shoes I’d seen or tried on previously. The shoe felt really supportive, and even though it’s a lower top, the shape of the top of the shoe allowed for a snug fit with the laces tied. The shoe also felt roomy enough for comfort without creating slippage – hard to achieve!
The only thing I didn’t love about the shoe was the stiffness. I did wonder if over time this would change, but the inflexibility of the sole made it hard to feel responsive to the terrain and meant for a slightly less comfortable run. That said, I felt well protected and supported, and that’s a great trade-off for the cushy-ness of your traditional road sneaker.

These shoes have been great from day one! The fit and feel was perfect, no break in needed! Theyve quickly become my preferred pair of shoes both for workouts and for everyday activities. Ive worn them on many outings with my toddler and from the grocery store to amusement parks they have kept me so much more comfortable. I cant wait for more adventures in these shoes!

The Divide 5 GTX is a comfy, versatile trail running shoe that can be used for training while also being stylish enough for daily wear on walks and outings. Im a former college track athlete, now postpartum mom of two, who frequently hikes and is working to get back into running. These shoes allow for a smooth transition between the two activities. The Divide 5 GTX handle both trails and pavement well, providing a smooth and cushioned ride. My favorite feature is the GOR-TEX soles that provide excellent traction. The only thing I didnt love about the design is that the black model is fully blacked out, which isnt my preference. The shoes also felt a little heavier than other Brooks shoe models I have worn in the past, but that is also what makes them durable trail runners.

I found these shoes to be very comfortable. As Ive gotten older Ive had to deal with bunions and plantar fasciitis. These shoes have great cushioned support and a wide enough toe box to help my feet be as comfortable as possible. I took them on many trails while on vacation in Victoria BC, and they performed well!

These shoes were bulky and reminded me of an orthotic shoe rather than a trail running shoe. I returned these.

heel fits loose and tighter through the toe than the Ghost was. A disappointment

Great traction, support and fit! This is my fourth pair of these shoes…Clearly, I’m a fan!

I tried these shoes out on a rocky trail and they are very comfortable, no rubbing anywhere, they give me a lot of stability on the trail.

Way too narrow. Not comfortable at all. I wish they came in wide size and I would love these shoes. They are very nice, gorgeous pair of brooks but unwearable due to how narrow the width is.

Felt small for my normal size 9. Shoe is made very well and if you need a waterproof for trail walking this should work. I have so many foot problems that I can’t find anything that works, so don’t want to blame the shoe.

I got these for travelling in Europe. I do a lot of walking. I did not have time to break them in before travelling, and I didn’t need to. I have worn these shoes full time for 2 weeks with no break-in issues. They are waterproof which is great for living in the Pacific Northwest. Brooks shoes have always worked right away for for me because the toe box is roomier than most brands but not sloppy or loose in the heels. I will always try Brooks first when buying new athletic style shoes.

The shoe is a little stiff, especially the upper, but that’s probably due to waterproofing. It’s not very cushy. It’s decently wide in that I take the same size as all my other Brooks.

Sits too high, trying to be a HOKA copy. Sent back. Looking for different profile. Tried on indoors only. Amount of use = 0.

These running shoes are just what I was looking for. True to size and supportive, these are great for the many surfaces that my daily runs take me on—trail and road alike. They are warm and waterproof so perfect for cold weather running conditions. The soles grip surfaces well so there’s no slipping.

I use them for walking. I like the fact that they are waterproof. I have 3 large dogs that I walk daily l. We walk in the rain and through wet grass. They are comfortable, they have a nice wide toe box. Nice shoes, they did not require breaking in. They felt really good by the get go.
