I really love all of Brooks Glycerin line of shoes! But the Glycerin Max is on a whole new level of love! Quite literally the best shoes that I have worn in a very long time! Very lightweight and feels like you are walking on clouds. My only wish is that they made a solid all black in womens that I could wear to work, because I would definitely buy those too!

Initially I wanted to take it easy and ran only 10K with the Max. The toe cavity felt roomy on one foot and cramped on my right. So I loosened the right lace a little for my 15.5 miles run the second time. The toe cavity remained tight and the right and the big toe continuously got jammed to the front. I ended up with a red throbbing big toe at the end of the run. It was such a disappointment because I loved my Glycerin GTS 21 for my long distance days and was looking forward to the cushy ride described by the Max. So I just went back to the 21 and ordered 2 pairs instead. For the price of one Max.

The absolute Worst Brooks glycerin shoe ever marketed! When you wear them, you feel like you’re tipping over. They look like space shoes and are not attractive. The padding by the Achilles protrudes and causes discomfort after wear. The sneakers do not feel steady. Hey Brooks, if I wanted the feel of Skechers sneakers, I would have bought the much cheaper brand. Needless to say, I will be returning them for a full refund. Hey Brooks, listen to the people and bring back glycerin 16, your best sneaker to date but do not skimp on quality material.

After almost dying in a serious car accident, and undergoing 18 major surgeries in 15 years (all due to the accident), I’ve FINALLY found the perfect running shoes for my feet. My right bad foot has a fused ankle, and a fused right MTP Joint. This specific foot was crushed into a million pieces in the car wreck, and has been rebuilt 4 times in 15 years. I’ve had to relearn how to walk twice, and can’t stand for more than 30-45 minutes without pain. Well, I’ve tried every single brand of running shoes made, and these provide the best support ever! The plush cushioning is what my orthopedic foot/ankle surgeon recommended for my special needs, especially for my bad right foot. They take the pressure off my bad knees, and give relief to my recent Spinal Fusion surgery too. These, as far as I’m considered, are genius shoes! I don’t care about the negative reviews, because these reviews have nothing to do with the hell I have gone through since my car accident. I do not feel like I’m rolling forward and losing my balance at all—They actually help me walk better, and my feet NEVER are tired after wearing these. They’re a miracle for me. Thank you Brooks, for creating a show so miraculous, and a shoe that truly helps me actually be pain free for once!

Love the new Brooks Glycerin Max. I’ve been walking 15K steps per day after getting two energetic puppies that require separate walks. When wearing my old Brooks Glycerin GTS my feet were screaming but after upgrading to the Max I have had no foot pain since. Total game changer for long mileage.

I broke my foot due to wearing worn out shoes. Been healing (long journey) for 11 weeks. Finally got the green light to walk 1 mile every day. I tried on several shoes, but these were the only ones that didn’t feel uncomfortable. My foot is still broken, but healing. This shoe is it!!!!! Doing my one mile walk daily and these have been incredible. Thank you, Brooks!!!

When I first saw the Brooks Glycerin Max I knew this shoe was going to be everything. It was love at first sight. When I tried them on it was like heaven to me. The Glycerin Max is supportive, cushioning, roomy and very comfortable. Its like walking on a fluffy cloud. Im not a runner but Im on my feet over twelve hours a day. I love these shoes. Ive already purchased a second pair.

I’m new to Brooks shoes. These looked so comfortable I just had to try them. I have feet that hurt all the time. I walk and run a lot (at least try to) These felt great. Very cushy. My toes don’t feel squeezed. I love them. I bought the Black ones. I want the while but I’m not crazy about the pink sole. But these are great.

I so wanted to like these!!! When I first put them on, I felt like I was walking on a cloud. But then I wore them to work, where Im on my feet for 12+ hours as a nurse. I felt like I was tripping over my own feet bc of the sole height. And by the 8th hour of my shift, I had the worst heel pain. A few days later even after not wearing them, and Im still sore. Im thinking if I was moving (running) these would be awesome. But standing in an ICU just wasnt it.

The Brooks Glycerin Max feels awesome, and I was excited to run in them. However, they ran a bit smaller than I anticipated, so I needed to return them.

Most comfortable shoes! I am currently suffering from capsulitis of second toe, ball of foot pain and this shoe alleviates most of the discomfort! I do not want to wear anything else. It was recommended and I am so glad I gave them a try! I love them so I ordered a second pair. Wish they also made a hiking or gortex version. Thank you Zappos!

Love them! I use them for indoor cardio and my feet, knees & back do not feel the impact of landing when running or jumping. The Brooks description reads energized and this is true. You’ll notice that the sock part is somewhat stiffer compared to regular glycerins, which I do miss but hasn’t been a problem – the landings are so phenomenal!! I normally wear a wide, so I’m looking forward to the possibility of Brooks releasing this shoe in a wide version too.
